Qp0fcf6 wv p'l06ll9f one Change typified the 1964-'65 school year for Penn athletes. It was a year that saw the appointment of an athletic director and a trainer and new coaches in several sports. It was a year that brought about the usual number of thrills, but more than that it was a year of dedication and effort by the athletes themselves. The young football squad, playing un- der an equally youthful mentor, proved many skep- tics wrong and compiled a winning season. The hardcourters, plagued with inexperience and a lack of height, compiled an impressive record. The wres- tling squad, heartened by a record turnout, re- sponded with one of the finest records in its history. The swimmers, also under a new coach, were en- couraged by having a state champion on the team, just as the track team was inspired with a strong leader in the fastest athlete ever to wear the red and white Penn track shoes. It was truly a year of con- spicuous profiles.

The game ended in a 12-7 victory for the hard charging Kingsmen, thus avenging a loss to the Vikings two years ago. The next two weeks of the season found the Meyer- men on the road. A trek to Riley and School Field ended in a saddening 40-O loss, but Plymouth proved more hospitable in a 19--0 Penn victory. Fort Wayne Central then spoiled the Homecoming festivities in our second home contest as they passed their way to a 19-0 win over our Kingsmen. Huntington fullback Clark Reeves finds a solid wall of Kingsmen as he is thrown for a twelve yard loss. Driv- ing him back are Steve Rockenbaugh f22j, Tom Crowel C35j, Larry Alexander 1661, Larry Jennings 1525, and Marcel Rydzinski frear centerj. ' ' Qeasow 5-4-1
