Our tools are as varied as the course offerings. From slide rules to test tubes, from aquariums to bar graphs we come to grips with our physical world. VVe face problems involving lines, angles, solids. Quadratic equations we take in small doses. The lab with all those funny tubes and bottles becomes commonplace. Letters and symbols no longer look strange on the board, on the opaque projector screen, on our test papers. The laboratory guide for physics reminds us of uninished experiments. The lecture and lab routine in biology fits into the team teaching technique we helped inaugurate. All those after school classes with science and math teach- ers help us eventually become master problem solvers and even if they donlt our quest for knowledge has been system- atically aroused. Mr. Owen Shoup, biology instructor, scrutinizes the action of protozoa under the microscope. Biology students Gary Wolf and Cathy Weikel await their turns. Mr. Stines biology students sophomore Richard Worthington, James Freel, and Paul Lechrone examine snails in a simulated natural habitat, an aquarium.
