Eager to learn and quick to catch on, our students gave summer institutes such as G.A.A. summer camp, Girls' and Boys' State, Student Council, and Journalism work shop priorities on their lists of educational recreation. After spending part of the summer in an en- joyable institute session, students returned in the fall with new ideas and ambition. With the necessary tools of learning in hand, new goals were set and achieved. Miss Kathy Hildreth, girls phys ed instructor, starts a routine on the paral lel bars. 13

Kasara takes over the controls for a trip down the 'Ole St. Joe. Penn senior Bruce Smith and Kasara take a good look at an under-the-hood problem. NeafuawwLFafuWef Thailand and Finland reflected a distinct profile in our school picture. Kesara, who came from Thailand, brought with her an eagerness to learn American ways and show the people of Penn High part of the world around them. Senior Jackie Geerligs, who left during the summer for Fin- land, returned home and was greeted at the airport by her family and friends. Through her experiences others here have learned how important the World around us is. Jackie Geerligs-home at last. The picture tells the story.
