1 Bonjour mes amisl Cette annee nous entrons dans le monde du Francais. Cest magnifique! This trans- lated means. Hello friends! This year we enter the world of the French. It is marvelous! Well this is just about the way our class sizes up 1964 at Penn. It was marvelous but not without long hours of study, piles of books and after-school catch-ups. In addition to foreign languages new adventures were taken in algebra, guidance, gym and even the old standby English. To make life interesting for us they even assigned a quartet of sponsors just for our class. They were Mr. Hardy, Mrs. Bronstad, Mr. Mu- sil, and Mrs. Wolfe. Miss Standish the guidance department coordinator also assisted with many of our first year problems. The freshman class party was the single class high- light of the year and we whooped it up just like the upperclassmen. With a great record in '64 as a starter we know you haven't heard the end of the class of '68 New Ffduwls, NewTeaclwfw, New Qcluulules eu Pwslv FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS FOR 1965 Steve Stacy, vice president, Pam Little, secretary, Kevin Witwer, president, Rich Green, treasurer. Terry Shaller, a freshman member of the concert and chamber Choirs, encourages members of the chorus to let out all the stops in an enthusiastic rendition of the school song. The scene was the sectional pep rally. A trio of frosh home ec students casts an admiring glance at the home ec department showcase dressed up with that Christmasy look! 135
