Profiting from Mr. and Mr. Daniel Diener. For juniors there are many memories from three years of high school. The class of '66 girded with the spirit of '76 remembers the tingling excitement of the pig- skin season with its invigorating crisp fall air, the ecstatic rewards of the greatest basketball season in Penn history, the long nights before research papers were due, and deadline, deadlines, deadlines. Class rings and Christmas vacation were exciting junior gifts. We remember them well. In spring a junior's fancy turns to the prom. We realized the benefits of committee cooperation on an unforgettable first of May. The 'Love is a Many Splendored Thing, theme will last for many reunions to come. For those students who achieved well scholastically the letter of invitation to the National Honor So- ciety becomes a treasured keepsake. As the school year closes and tests become more comprehensive An animated junior Ken Leach seems to be competing with his robot. Ken exhibited this project at the annual Science Fair. flats . ,li qogfbkma S and report cards become more important we take long looks at past successes and failures. EagwvQophsPmepmwf6wUppwvC1aAs Qtatus Great in numbers and school spirit 411 sopho- mores ably bridged the gap between grades nine and eleven. Sophs took part in every sport with members of our class excelling in football and cross country. Led by class president Jim Evans we watched our bank account grow as we manned the concession stand. Incidentally we had fun doing it. Other students elected as our officers were Mary Dee lNilson, vice presidentg Sue Hoffman, secretary, and Nancy Auten, treasurer. B-Team basketball and football play- ers were cheered on to victory by sophomore cheerleaders Suetta Putek, Cathy VVeikel, and Mfary Dee Wilson. By taking part in band, choir, sports, publica- tions, art, and dramatics, we tenth graders learned how to make life a real profile of ac- tivity. Through success and blunders we learned what it means to grow up. Class sponsors Mr. Vendrick, Mr. Hanley, Mr. Hoffer, Mrs Hatcher, and Mr. Shoup helped with their encourage- ment and understanding. Kathleen Zeiger, Joy Bogan, and Pat Hahn, sophomore members of the concert choirs use rehearsal time in preparation for the annual NISBO- VA contest. Sophomore Class oHicers: Sue Hoffman, secretary, Nancy Auten, treasurer, Jim Evans, presi- dent, Dee Wilson, vice president. 127
