Librarians Because of the failure to pass the bond issue, library assistants were forced to do their various jobs Within a limited amount of space. The most active area was the work room in the back of the library. Here books for the entire district were sort- ed, numbered, and stamped. A new addition to the magazine room and the library itself Was the microfilm. All back issues of magazines were transferred onto microfilm and made available to the students through the use of the special viewing ma- chine. All of these various materials within the library were made possible through the eHorts of the head librarian, Mr. Burl Knickerbocker. For U2 credit a semester, sixteen ofhce assistants subjected themselves to thankless tasks necessary to the efficiency of Peninsula High School. These fifteen girls and one boy, under the direction of Mrs. Lilian Cambell, office secretary, and Mrs. Frances Carlson, attendance secretary, gained a small taste of office Work. They also acquired the poise and conhdence that goes along with dealing with students and faculty. Jolene Fraychineaud works during lunch. I En ergelzc Students Dan Fay and Paul Anderson sell supplies in the student center. CONCESSION WORKERS: Jolene Fraychineaud, Helen Knicker- bocker, Anitta Mccabe, Mary Galwas, Linda Nelson, Steve Morse, Ray Fezler, Gayle Starr, Cindy Thomas. Serve the School Every morning in the far corner room of the student center a light went on and an intricate metal machine was put together. This Was the ice cream machine. Every day it gurgled and went on and oH at the hands of the concessionaires. The money taken in by the sale of the cones, shakes, drumsticks, and ice cream sandwiches, was put into the A.S.B. fund. The student concessions were supervised by Mr. Co- zort, who was the trouble-shooter if anything went wrong. His job, however, became a little easier because of this year,s improved student attitude toward the pro- ject. And then came the thankless task of clean-up. This messy job fell into the hands of Mrs. Day and Ray Fezler who gave up their time just as the concessionaires to do a favor forthe benefit ofthe student body.
