Sprechen sie Deutsch Oder Opening up the traditionally lively German Club events of the year was the Oktoberfest. Entering into this evening of fun, the German classes performed skits and later everyone sang songs led by Patty and Becky Craig. Next came the German Club Party, which was held at the Packard Home, where Berend Bruns established resi- dence while attending the first semester of Peninsula High School. The German Club's annual Spring Beach Party ended the year's festivities. Chris Sather, this year's German Club president, su- pervised the majority of the planning with his officers, but the members, who are made up of all the students of German classes really made the club successful. Habla Espanol? Eugenio Gomez became the target project for the Spanish Club under the leadership of Scott Chunn, its president. The project consisted of adopting, a child of another country and sending him the essentials of life. As far as activities are concerned, the Spanish Club began the year with a banquet at the new Brad's smor- gasbord. Entering into the Christmas season with the right spir- it, the Spanish Club sent a record and a card to Sherri Perkins at Seattle, and as a money making project the club sold Christmas cards and candles. A Spanish Club exchange program has been the hope of every Spanish Club since it was formed, but this yearis club has made the most progression toward it. A Mexico exchange Program was started last year on a voluntary basis, and the participants came back this year and showed slides of their trip. It was a complete success.
