Drill Team and S eachick Footwork is important. Setting the pace for Peninsulals entertainment, the Drill Team put on many intricate half-time shows for enthusiastic crowds of spectators at the football and bas- ketball games. Under the advisement of Mr. Bruce Brummond, many hours of hard work resulted in the success of the rhythmical body and group maneuvers. In order to learn routines in such a large group, four drill captains took over the show at first. These captains, Janet Henry, Jolene Fraychineaud, Jorja Peterson, and Judy Nieman, had to learn the routines thoroughly and there- fore put in extra hours of their time. One of the great achievements of the group was marching for Peninsula's homecoming. The conditions were miserable with a steady downpour but the team did such a good job that they also performed for the league championship game at Fife. Being successful there also, the team was olf to an excellent start. P 34
