Mike Heads Senate Senate took on a new face this year as it became the oflicial group for constructive criticismf, Along with a new purpose, it also acquired a new advisor, Mr. Warren McNee1y. Senateis main job this year was to answer questions brought up by various student groups, and try to rectify any complaints. In order to accomplish this, joint meet- ings were sometimes held with Student Council. Through these efforts, closer ties were established be- tween the Council, the representatives, and the roll- room members. Many thankless jobs were often left to be handled by the Senate members. It was their duty 'to set up .chairs for assemblies, try to keep honor study halls in order, and see that back to school night ran smoothly. Like other organized groups, Senate had its officers. Chris Sather was elected secretary and Doug Johnson was elected vice-chairman. Mike Veitenhans, ASB Vice- President, assumed the duties of chairman and directed Senate toward a prosperous year.
