Band Played n Tears, toil and sweat followed the Band through their more than fifty performances. Sour notes and irritated students molded themselves into a successful and good- sounding band. From an uncoordinated green mob to a precision marching group, these musical Seahawks won their fame in the DaHodil and the Rhododendron pa- rades. Spurring the Seahawkis athletic activities, the Band played for all of the home games and the many pep as- smblies during the year. On the cultural side of the musical events of the year, the Pen High Band participated in the two traditionally magniiicent concerts: the Pop Concert and the Spring Concert. Excitement was brewing in the music department because this year was the first time in Peninsulals history that it hosted the annual Band Festival. This contest of talent brought about a lot of excitement and a lot of hard work. Director Mr. Brummond hard at work.
