To take the load off of Mr. Boyd's shoulders, the oflicers performed the time consuming jobs that ordinarily the teacher would perform. Donna Waterland, the choir sec- retary, took roll every day and treasurer, Wendy Throck- morton, handled the hundreds of dollars that came in from concerts, and special activities such as the annual spaghetti dinner. To keep the choir going in the absence of Mr. Boyd, Tim Bannon, the choir president, directed the choir and carried on the business of the day. Marlene Ketner, the vice-president, while performing many other necessary duties, still managed to keep Tim in line. The music librarians Were the real Workers of the choir. They kept track of all the music that came and Went during the year, which was a considerable amount. Many hours of their time was spent in the back room typing, filing, and sorting. To make the list of the unsung heroes of this large per- forming group complete, the uniform managers must be added. These students took care of all the adjustments that were made on the choir uniforms. C

The Nonettes, a select group of girls from the choir, make up another one of the small performing groups. This female ensemble often performed separately from the choir at such places as Madigan hospital, and the Masonic Temple. These girls practice on their own time and many after school rehearsals were called before the group per- formed. The Girl's Glee, another all female group, operated a bit differently. These performers were all freshmen and a class period during the day was directed by Mr. Bruce Brummond. An earnest but sometimes frustrated choir struggles ev- ery note of the Way.
