Awowfdfubwiflvnmwideas l Girl's Athletic Association officers: Kathy Spadoni, Christy Reuhl, Becky Hatch, Marlene Brones. GAA was an athletic group this year at Peninsula Hi. President Christy Reuhl saw to that. She had help from other officers too. They were Kathy Baldwin, Becky Hatch, and Marlene Brones. Advisor Mrs. Norma Martin aided them in everything they did. GAA was an old club with new activities. They had playdays just as before. but this year a swimming playday was held. Another new idea was to have the annual banquet at a private home. The home chosen for this honor was Carol Olson's, where the main course was spaghetti. Two senior girls. Christy Reuhl and Karen Holm, received four-year pins. Of course, old practices weren't given up. There was the year-end picnic with the awarding of the girl-of-the-year award to the fresh- man girl who showed the most desire to excel in athletics. New ideas and an old club! Now the ideas are old, but there's always next year and room for more new ideas. 38 G.A.A. president Christy Reuhl

The 1967 Letterman's Club is bigger than ever this year which makes it easy to understand why there has been so much co-operation from the club. Pain! When the Letterman's Club went to work this year, this cry was one of the very few words that 11-year- old Tommy Borgert could speak. After three months of work, Tommy could speak quite fluently in comparison. Each club of Peninsula High begins the year by listing the civil services it will perform. This year the Lettermen fitted action to words. Members of the club offered to ad- minister the exercises necessary to bring Tommy Borgert to a higher level of stability. The club also held an assembly to raise money in which was staged a letterman-faculty basketball game. Under the leadership of president, Dan Ross, vice-presi- dent, Marty Morin, secretary, Tom Thrall, treasurer, Dick DeWalt, bouncer, Rick Blum, and advisor Mr. Dele Gunner- son, the club has proven that it is filled not only with scho- lastic and athletic ability, but also with a desire to help oth- ers. Letterman's Club officers: FRONT, Danny Floss. Marty Morin, ROW TWO, Tom Thrall Rick Blum. Dick DeWalt absent.
