Debate Algae Debate Club: FRONT ROW, Fred Nikolac, Carl Ash. Marcia Jensen, and Janice Schreiner, ROW TWO, Libby Seifert, Bob Sinclair, and Robin Meyer. ROW THREE Sue Williston, Walter Thompson, Dale Neel, and Dana Delony. Should foreign aid be limited to non-military assistance? That's debatable. Or so thought the members of debate teams throughout the league. Peninsula's debate squad was larger than it has been for many years. Most members were first-year debaters, who worked long and hard to overcome this handicap. They were assisted by the few experienced debaters returning from last year. All were under the supervision of Mrs. Verna Todd, Life was not easy for the debaters. They had to research the topic of foreign aid very thoroughly and be able to argue both for and against the question. lt certainly wasn't easy, but they came through, and won a few, lost a few. They gain ed in experi- ence, knowledge, poise-was it worth it? That's debatable. President Dan Ross listens to suggestions for an upcoming project at the Letter man's Club meeting.

The 1967 Letterman's Club is bigger than ever this year which makes it easy to understand why there has been so much co-operation from the club. Pain! When the Letterman's Club went to work this year, this cry was one of the very few words that 11-year- old Tommy Borgert could speak. After three months of work, Tommy could speak quite fluently in comparison. Each club of Peninsula High begins the year by listing the civil services it will perform. This year the Lettermen fitted action to words. Members of the club offered to ad- minister the exercises necessary to bring Tommy Borgert to a higher level of stability. The club also held an assembly to raise money in which was staged a letterman-faculty basketball game. Under the leadership of president, Dan Ross, vice-presi- dent, Marty Morin, secretary, Tom Thrall, treasurer, Dick DeWalt, bouncer, Rick Blum, and advisor Mr. Dele Gunner- son, the club has proven that it is filled not only with scho- lastic and athletic ability, but also with a desire to help oth- ers. Letterman's Club officers: FRONT, Danny Floss. Marty Morin, ROW TWO, Tom Thrall Rick Blum. Dick DeWalt absent.
