Boy's Club officers: Frank Therrien, secretary-treasurer, Don Bergman. vice-president. and John McDonell, president. Newvideasg Boys' club got under vvay with a bang this year. Under the leadership of John McDonell, Don Bergman, and Frank Ther- rien, and advisors Mr. Oskar Shock and Mr. Bill Witt, the boys proved willing and able to work when given the chance, They started the year by helping the girls with Homecoming. The football players built a bonfire - the biggest ever seen at President John McDonell and advisor Mr. Witt, B5 Bonds' Peninsula. The boys slept by the fire for tvvo nights to ward off intruders. Boys' Club also held a father-son dessert which proved to be a success and a lot of fun both for the boys and their fathers. The boys proved to be capable and had a very successful year. Homecoming bonfire '67 was built by the industrious Boy's Club.

Who did he take it to? The Seniate of course. Commonly called the gripe group , Senate handled student problems and suggestions. Elected from their home rooms, each Senate member represented a portion ofthe stu- dent body. They listened to their leader, Flon Macdonald, as he gave advice concerning the numerous problems that arose throughout the year, Jackie Randall took notes and Mr. Cozort advised. All in all, the Senate proved to be an effective gripe group .

Dennis Fuqua ofthe Blokes helps to provide live music at the Oktoberfest for the first time ever. Sprechen Sie Deutsch? You do if you're in German Club. And if you're not, you're missing out on all the fun planned by presi- dent, Pat Ouesnel, vice president, Walt Th0mDS0f1, SGCFGIHFV, Mignon Freiberger, and treasurer, Juli Skansie. These officers, with the help of their advisor, Miss Rita Kunsing, carried out the usual German activities with more enthusiasm than ever. The Oktoberfest started the year off great with live music for the first time. Soon afterwards, St. Nicholas and Schwarz Peter made their annual visits to several German classrooms to intro- duce the Christmas season, highlighted by the festive Wein- achtsfest. The Faschingsball, with its dancing and lively fun, was a great way to end the festivities for another year. Sprechen Sie Deutsch? You're lucky if you do! First year German class entertains with a skit at the Oktoberfest.
