This years golf team with great drive and iron nerves fashioned a first-rate championship team. With three year golf lettermen Jim Hamel and Doug Clark, and two year golf letterman Lloyd Baker, pacing the field, the Seahawks compiled an 8-2 win-loss record. Others who also played a major part in the Seahawks best season yet, were Lowell Rice and lVlark Bjornstad. In seasons gone bythe golfteam has done quite well, never placing out of the top division. Chris Sather owflw' Those heading the list were juniors: Tim Bannon, Rick Squance. Tom Richards and Randy Buckel: and sophomores included: Greg Barnett, Tom Lester, Skip Jones, and Ray Shindler. Although this years batmen were young they wanted to win, and were willing to work hard towards this goal. They proved in spirit and fashion that they were a Seahawk team that could be counted on to do their best. Coach Gunnerson and lrosh baseball players make necessary repairs on baseball diamond. Aside from these six there were sixteen new players. Coach Bill Witt gave the team expert advice and was even able to wrangle them new uniforms. The team came up against some stiff competition in the eighteen scheduled matches, but were able to pull through with a pretty even season.
