WE COMPETE IN MAN Y SPOR The Knights of Central are known afar for their victories 0n the field of combat. For just as knights of old sallied forth with lances on the plains of Europe, our Knights go forth to protect our honor in every kind of athletic contest. The might'of our football team won for Central this year the PHSL championship. Our mermen' have demonstrated their skill in bringing us honors also. The gym team knows no equal in all the seven hills of Cincinnati. The PHSL baseball title was brought to ' Central in 1957. But Centralis banner is kept flying high in other sports as well. In track, cross-country, basketball, and bowling, our teams. continue to show their courage and sportsmanship. The example which our athletes set for us is worthy of the highest standards of knighthood. It applies not only in sports, but also in the work we do in our shops and classes.

.: 'A-n'rL -. -r..- t:.-. WE BUILD LASTING FRIENDSHIPS . i There is another part of our life which must be presented to give a complete picture. For we do not neglect the social side. Activities of many kinds are constantly in progress at Central. Sir Lancelot probably relied on trumpet fanfares to know what was going on in his day, but our castle is equipped with a public address system that can be heard in the highest tower. It daily calls students. to meetings of the various clubs and organizations, and it announces tsometimes t0 musict the important coming events. The Sweetheart Contest, the Sweetheart Dance, the Package Plan Bonuses, the Senior Prom, the functions of the various social clubs-uall of these attractions make Central a happy, as well as a busy place. There is much fun to be had in band, choir, Cendra, and on the staffs of the KNIGHT LIFE and the PENDULUM. These activities make our days brighter and, in the long run, our lives richer.
