For the first time in recent years we got past the quarter- finals and into the semi-finals. When we met Marshfield they were heavy favorites to go all the way to a third straight Oregon High School Football Championship . Pendleton met them on a cold, foggy, and wind-blown day. Marshfield rolled over us in what they termed as their second toughest game of the season. The boys who played that day will remember into eternity what it was like out there. Pendleton was indeed proud of their stalwarts of the gridiron during the 1956 football season. The football managers are fleftb Al- len McKee, Bob Larsen, and Bill Dona- hue. Allcn and Bill were in charge of of the field house. Bob's job was to make sure that the players had game jerseys and clean towels. All of the managers. are to be complemented on the fine job that they had done. Allen and Bill .will be back next year to re. sume their duties.

FOOTBALL DON REQUA has coached the Buckaroo football squad for five seasons In 1954 55 and 56 he suc cessfully led the Bucks to state playoffs Requa came here from Buhl high school at Buhl Idaho in 1950 and he immediately started the Bucks off to victory Heres hoping Req will be around many more seasons to lead the Bucks to victory 55.-.V 'x',,.9 BOB WHITE line coach for the Pendleton Bucks has had a great deal to do with the Buckaroo victories for the past three seasons He IS credited for the great line he has turned out in his three years of coaching for Pendleton High GEORGE RASSMUSSEN and GLEN HOGEN pictured left are coaches of the Baby Bucks. They are responsible for the fine job of turning out players for the varsity squad.

J-01 MIKE SMITH. No. 27. 165 pounds: Q'S1nitty. who has been plagued by a shoulder injury all season. was forced to sit out almost all the sea- son. Nlike played in two games. Kennewick and Pasco. He started against Pasco and played a good game. Mike. a senior. earned his second letter while playing guard. .1131 TYLER. No. 48. 185 pounds: ,lim was a Jack-of all trades for the team. When the quarterback got hurt. ,lim would play quarter- back. He was the regular fullback this year. ,lim will be missed in the line-up next year. He is a senior and has earned three letters. ...N JERRY DEBORDE, No. 46, 170 pounds: Jerry was one of the few returning lettermen from the last two years. He played quarterback on of- fense and played linebacker on defense. Jerrv is a senior and has made three letters.
