From Our I-Iilltops We Cam See 3 Beyond The Distant Fields Mrs. Betty Fcvcs. wife of a prominent doctor and mother of three, is V11 nationally known ccramist. She has won at the Syracuse National Ceramics Upening twice for both pottery and sculpture and numerous other awards in the same cate- gories at cxhihits held in the Northwest. She is active in Oregon Art Education activities and has become widely known for her experimentalion in native clays and glazes. Even though she is husy with hoth her art work and her family. she has done much to encourage and assist art education in the Pendleton Public Schools. v r 1 f Mrs. Feves explains her design approach to her sculpture of four standing people to three PHS students who visited her in her new home which she also largely designed to fit her special needs.
