HI-Y Under the supervision of George Rasmussen, the Pendleton Hi-Y, a Christian organization, took part in many activities this year. The club, which is open to all PHS boys, initiated new members at mid-year and sponsored a lovely formal at Thanksgiving. Besides this, the group attended various churches during the year, refereed Church League basketball games, and supplied transpor- tation for the United Nations' drive to aid over- seas children, which was sponsored locally by the Pendleton Youth Council. FIRE SQUAD Under the supervision of Mr. Fossatti, the Fire Squad of Pendleton High School completed another year of valuable serv- ice to PHS and Pendleton by protecting our building against tire. Led by their captain, Gary Shepherd, the squadfmade periodical surveys of the fire fighting equipment and assisted during several fire drills throughout the year. Their serv- ices to the school were voluntary and the students of Pendleton High are rightfully appreciative of their work this year. i LETTERMEN
