Superintendent and Board of Education The superintendent, representing the State Department of Education and the local school board as executive officer, puts into operation their policies. As a professional educator, he is responsible for effective instruction and pupil growth, for suggested improvement of the present school fa- cilities, and for the management of school cur- riculum.
