Lapel The 20th Annual Tourney began with the usual excitement and anticipation, Four fighting teams came with the expectation of taking home the trophy. As the games progressed, it became evident that the Fighting Irish were determined to win. Even though the Lapel Bulldogs won the tourney in the final moments by a one point margin, the Fighting Irish of Pendleton High School won a greater victory by proving that, No Man Knows De- feat Who has Confidence In His Efforts. A pink Eiffel tower and fragrant spring flowers provided the set- ting for the spectacular and long awaited event of the year. Soft music and whirling couples against the background of the theme, Springtime in Paris made the event live long after the night turned into day. The year's activities were marching at the State Fair, participating in the District March- ing Contest and receiving a second division rating, and playing at the home ball games. DRAMATIC CLUB The Dramatic Club was organized in Pendleton High School in 1929, thus giving it the honor of being the oldest active organization in the school. CHORUS Members of the chorus are high school students who have been chosen through an audition with the music director. The chorus attended the Choral Fes- tival at Anclersong also, representatives were sent to sing in the mass choir at the Indiana State Choral Festival.
