June 15 1962 Dear Drary I had Just arrrved for my two weeks stay at Argabrrght s Dude Ranch whenldrscovered that the proprtetor was none other than my old classmate Maryorte Parker She tnformed me that several of our fellow students were vacatrontng at the ranch and she suggested that we have a Class of 52 reunron I accepted the tdea readtly stnce I had seen none of our old buddres rn my ten years as a housewlfe after graduatton At the reunron at tended by 48 ofour 53 former classmates we decrded that we should tell our occupatron stnce graduatton To see that all bustness was transacted legally the famous law frrm of Kulp Thomas and Owens acted as the charrman Frrst a report was recerved on the absent members Thts mcluded Herb Ayers Bob Redrck and Gerald Boram who have not been heard from srnce they left for Calrforma tmmedrately after graduatron Also mrssrng was Presley Peek who never qurte recovered from the annual productron and hanged htmself after two years tn a padded cell at Cen tral Hospltal Then startmg down the regtster alphabettcally I learned that Luana Anderson and her old buddy Betty Brown are now owners of the former Ltnder s Restaurant and employ Mona Harvey as therr chtef wartress Phrllrp Boller reported that he now owns the bowllng alley east of Pendleton and also sard that he has been havtng qutte a blt of trouble wtth hrs pm boys srnce they elected Hertha Bledsoe the president of thetr umon We were rnformed by Clarre Penny Coryell that she and Martha Mrtzt Lee are strll employed at Fred Wolf s Wolf theater formerly the Fox rn Indranapolrs Clarre also satd that John Htlbert Jrm Schmrtt and Larry Rozelle have permanently reserved seats on the front row About thls ttme hearmg what sounded ltke a stampede I looked up and saw all the krds of the former Judy McLaugh1m Altce James Naomr Graham Janet Owens Patty Stohler Nancy Kamke and Marrlyn Ebbert I couldnt get an accurate count of the group but there seemed to be about 40 chrldren comtng our way We rmmedrately drs patched three classmates Dr LeRoy Walker and reglstered nurses Mary Ann Wade and Jackre Mathras to corral the group After thls was done we had a short recess to settle frayed nerves Desrrrng to know the cause of the commotion I took a short walk and saw the world famous shop ltfter and prck pocket Ltghtfmgers Foust betng pursued across the ranch by Polrcewomen Nancy Epperson and Jewel D3VldS0l'l'. 1 I - - , . , . 1 , - . . .
