They had several bake sales and cookie raffles. During rHarvest Festival activi- ties, the Eighth Grade sponsored the Bingo Game. Wendy Fletcher was the class nominee for Miss Pender Academy and raised ap- proximately S150.00. l In early spring, the students be- gan studying astronomy, to stimu- late more interest in the subject, Mrs. Sholar 'took them to the Plan- etarium in Chapel Hill.
