WM' 5 T lg! il K' m its ei- . E Bb . us... t.. 5, t :U f l. Ee FIFTH GR DE Mrs. Donna Anderson's Fifth Grade enjoyed learning about many facets of American History this year. In October, the Class went to Chand1er's Wharf and the State Ports Authority. At Christ- mas time, they enjoyed a trip to the Royal Governor's Home, Tryon Palace, in New Bern. During March, the Fifth Grade traveled to Raleigh, the state capital, and toured the Museum of Natural His- tory, the Capitol Building, the Mu- r e.se K ,gm ...e i K X S X my Q if if 1. seum of History, and the Gover- nor's Mansion. The Class sponsored the Ring Toss Booth for the Harvest Festival, and made cross-stitched ornaments and candles to sell at the craft table. Brad Baker and Jennifer Medlin were chosen King and Queen of the Harvest Festival for raising the most money in that category. These activities during the year really ad- ded to their overall enjoyment of the Fifth Grade. Brad Baker joel Barden Andrea Brown Melinda Dixon jodi Ealcins eea. W etae ..e e t., , A , ' . . The Class sponsored the Ring Toss Booth for the Harvest Festival, and made needlepoint coasters to sell at the craft table. Nicky Blan- ton and Holli Holmes were chosen by their classmates to compete in . The Fourth Grade went on a vari- ety of field trips as well. Among these were visits to l.undy's Pack- ing Plant, Chandler's Wharf, -joan Van Ark Plant, Sportsworld, the New Hanover County Museum, and the Railroad Museum.
