r HEADMASTER WHRENS WILLIAMS A COMPANION AND PARTNER Our headmaster plays numerous roles at Pender Academy. He is our confidant, advisor, and disciplinar- ian. Mr. Williams took over the po- sition of head coach this year for the football team. He also led the Lady Raiders through a struggle for victory during basketball season. Nineteen eighty-three was Whrens Williams fifteenth year at P.A. Each day he relives his high school years of the Stone Age by being a part of our high school years. His well-known war sto- ries have become a part of the problems solved in school, a ball practice, an assembly, or just a con- versation to pass the time of day. The head football coach, Whrens Williams, gets an overhead view of Pender's victory Whrennie Williams as he was known in the Harvest Festival Beauty Pageant, gives Howard Pierce an affectionate hug. ' Mr. Williams and Coach Hobbs give the team a heart to heart talk during halftime.
