Many Sophomores participated in such school activities as Glee Club, Tri-Hi-Y, Hi-Y, football, and basketball. Everyone attained a better idea of what the future years at P.A.H.S. held for us. We held our Sophomore Hop in the spring, which concluded our activities of the year. As we entered upon our Junior year in school, we immediately organized our class under the able guidance of Mr. Marcus Stopp and Miss Hester Heller. The officers elected were as follows: Preyidenl .,....,,,....,.........., ..,.,.,...... F red Kraemer Sefrezary ....,., ,...,,,,..............,,.,..,.. B ernice Caesar Vice Preridenl ,..........,,,,,., Mary Jane Bettini Treasurer ..........,...,...............,....,... Eileen Kellow We voted and selected as our class motto- Always Forward, Never Backward , class colors Blue and Gray , class flower Yellow Rose . We undertook campaigns to sell Christmas cards and to take subscriptions for magazines in an at- tempt to raise money for our yearbook and social events. In May, the class held the junior Prom in the high school gymnasium, followed in june by the highlight of the year, the Junior Banquet . The banquet was held at Monomonock lnn, in the Poconos. With this we concluded our activities of the junior year and approached our goal as seniors. We returned to school in September to become proud seniors. We embarked on the last lap of our twelve-year journey together under the leadership of the following ofhcers and advisers: Preiiderzl ............,.. ,,.,...,............,, J ohn Pezzuto TI'9tZJ'ZH'61' ...,,.....,,,.,,,,...,,,........,,,......, john Palmer Vice Preriderzl ....,.,,..,,...... Albino Zanchettin Adzfirerr ....... .,.,,,...... M rs. Edna R. Imhof Secrelary ,,,, ,,.,.....,..,,. ,,.,..,,,,,,,..... V i rginia Celot Mr. Harry U. Mervine We held two bake sales and two public dances to obtain more money to put into our yearbook. We obtained class pennants, caps and emblems from the Standard Pennant Company. On April 29, we held our last dance, the Senior Prom, followed by the Senior Banquet on May 27. Both events were highly successful. These activities, followed by Baccalaureate, Class Day, and Com- mencement, concluded our final year at P.A.H.S. We shall always remember the guidance and train- ing that we have received during our school days at good old Pen Argyl High. 49' X , 21
