QJIEMOJUQSQ Directly back of them is Miss Elma Case, who, much to our surprise, has not yet been married. Elma is now head of a drugstore which is located in XVind Gap. The next arrivals are the three stenogs, Esther Rutt, Ruth Pauling, and Erma Toth. Old P. A. H. S. gave them their start on the road to fame. It's almost time to eat. Wfhere can the rest of the guests be? Oh! Here is someone. Why, itis Kathryn Horwell! Arriving at the last minute as usual. I suppose that you all have heard that Kate is instructress of Physical Education at Vfildcliff, Where she was once a student. Vfilbur XVagner, head of Economy Stores, has just entered the room. He must have benefited by his apprenticeship while in high school, for now he certainly is a successful business man. NVho can that be wearing the uniform with shiny buttons? Oh, I know. It's the former Betty Kitto, who has just been elected to the position of honorary solo flutist of the Marine Band. As the dinner gong sounds, in rushes Madelyn Broad, R. N., who was delayed because she had just flown here from a nurses' conference in Europe. Everyone is seated at the table, when last, but not least, Robert .Tones comes into the room. Even though he is an auto salesman, and claims that his car will get you there on time, it failed to uphold its reputation. The gaiety begins, and thus we leave as the members of the class begin to discuss the events which have elapsed since their last meeting. ' i ii I page t1uc11ty-four

QJISJIOJYESQ PRCJPI-IECY S iT PossnsLE that twenty-five years have elapsed since our carefree high school days? Tonight we are to see our old-time classmates at a banquet to be held at the Ritz, one of America's outstanding hotels under the proprietorship of Anthony Bet. The master of ceremonies is none other than our one-time star quarterback, Milton Phillips, while the music for the evening will be furnished by Morgan, the Old Maestro, and his Hi Falutin' Tootersn and the renowned crooner, Chits Darrohn, who will favor us with the latest jazz numbers. The sen- sational dance team of Janey and Denny will also entertain us with some of their newest dance routines. Listen, the announcer has something to say. XVho can be coming so early? Why it is one of our happily married classmates, formerly Miss Gladys Male, now married and living in Bangor. The name of Dr. Robert Einstein Lugg, professor of Mathematics at Harvard University, is heard echoing through the massive ballroom. You certainly can see that he has become successful. Here comes an odd trio! Well, if it isn't Wayland Getz with our former class twins, Dot Fio- rot and Ethel Lobb, one on each arm.. Experience must have taught Getzy that love is not blind . The latest arrival is Esther Holloway, wearing one of her newest creations. Tillie ,made the trip all the way from Hollywood, for she is the head designer for M. G. M. Studios. Wfho should be coming now but the Honorable Verne Parsons, Chief Burgess of Wind Gap, fol- lowed closely by his old pal, Cup Kopko, who has met his fame coaching the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. There is Miss Lola Morris coming into the ballroom. Have you heard that she is the private sec- retary of the President of the Standard Oil Company? Quiet, please. Listen to the announcement of the next arrival. Leroy Robert Hughes, B. A., M. A., Ph. D. It always was Trix's ambition to be surrounded by girls, and it is realized, for he is President of Vassar College. Here come our Olympic stars, Miss Ruth Hahn, champion figure skater, and Miss Martha Hill, outstanding woman parachute jumper. Unfortunately, they are unable to display their talents, because of inadequate facilities. Dear me, who can that be clothed in furs and silks? 'Well, I believe it's Eunice Herritt. She is America's wealthiest heiress. Another celebrity, Charles Snyder, has just arrived. Charles is now manager of the Chicago White Sox, and is accompanied by his charming wife and the little sox. Miss Virginia Cousins and Miss Dorothy Doney were just announced. Although these two are dis- tinctly opposite in height, they follow the same profession, Ginny, a proprietress of a candy shop, and Dot a dietitian. Following these two comes their old pal, and thc speaker of the evening, Miss Ruth Dennis, now first woman President of the United States. She is accompanied by her private secretary, Miss Kath- erine Repsher. XY'ho is that couple just entering? Can it be? . . . Yes, it is the former Verlo Amy and her hus- band, who is the chief executive of a cooperative dairy union. page twewzty-three
