Boys' basketball repre- sentatives are Wayne Mitchell, John Bouchard, and Jimmy Carroll. Other sports were G. A. A., F. H. A., Glee Club, Band, I. V. basket- ball, and cheerleading which represented Mary Ramsdell as varsity substitute. 16

Walls, J. Rich, T. Stanley, R. Stanwood. We, the Class of 1956, opened with forty two students. Mr. Staddenwas our faculty advisor. We are sorry to say that Katherine Harper and Patricia Wentworth left us before the end of the first quarter. During the second week of schoolwe elected our class officers as follows: President ............. Robert Wheaton Vice President . . .... Alice Harper S6Cretary ............ Rebecca Hodgkins Treasurer ............ Joanne Reynolds Student Council Representatives: Pauline Dunbar and Albert Busswell We tried out a new plan this year, with each class of Pemetic High School having a hand in the Year Book. The major offices were left in the hands of the Junior Class. On the Varsity Basketball team were, Jay Ramsdell, Robert Wheaton, Philip Dow, On the Junior Varsity were Berton Willey, Robert Stanwood Gerald Walls, Richard Phippen, Terry Stanley, and Roger Pomroy. Ann Bunker, Rachel Spurling, Sandra Jellison, Betsy Grindle, and Joanne Reynolds were players on the girls basketball team. Rebecca I-lodgkins and Pauline Dunbar are on the Varsity cheering squad. The class rings were ordered early in the year and were here in time for Christmas. The Junior Prom was held May 6 and was well attended.

President: William Moore Treasurer: Lynne Birlem Secretary: Joan Faulkingham The Freshman initiation was held in September and the girls were required to wear pajama bottoms, colored socks, high heels, man's pullover, man's felt dress hat, no make-up, and hair uncombed. The boys wore the following--lady's blouse, skirt, apron, kerchief, nylon stockings, lipstick and high heels. Every- one had a wonderful time and we are all looking forward to initiating next year's Freshmen. During the magazine drive we won the twenty-five dollar prize for the class averaging the most money brought in per person. We started the year with an enrollment of thirty-seven, but we lost Sandra Murphy and Diana Orcutt. Luther Miller joined us in October which made our enrollment thirty-six.
