Tl-IURSTON Industrial Course Committee I, 2, 3, 4 THE SNOW STORM The sun went down before 'tvvas nightg The heat from the furnace indeed felt slight. The sky itself had an ominous hueg With ne'er a single patch of blue. Though the horses stamped within their stalls, The barnyard was barren of songbird calls. The small beasts hid neath bushes low As they awaited the coming of the snow. In the stillness twixt night and morn, There in the darkness a storm was born. Gently it came, like a songbird flew , Then in intensity it grew and grew. The next day awoke to a whole new world, Over which snowflakes rose and swirled. The sun at once began its chore, To melt it ere there came some more. Albert Buswell '56 This Page Sponsored by BAR HARBOR TIMES 13 Bar Harbor, Maine
