I send my prayer and best wishes to you. Know that you are loved By more than just family, You have touched many lives Teaching through the years. You brought beauty into my life In the few years at Pembroke; You gave your all to us, to me. Now, in your need and comforting offer a word or two to somehow Brighten your day. I am with you in spirit. Praying to my loving Cod To watch and protect you. In his strength may you find Warmth and security; Through me, may you know You have made one life more meaningful And given a girl the confidence To become a woman. Melanie Hinton Dr. Andre Nadeau, who died Jan. 20 in Laurinburg of an incurable brain disease, will always be remembered by those who knew him and Mr. Enthusiasm. He lived every moment to the fullest. His special love was working with the mentally retarded and teaching others how to do so. He did this every year since he came to the University in 1969. In recent years he has also been working with the Special Olympics. It is appropriate that his family has asked that memorials to him be gifts to the Special Olympics Fund at Pem- broke State University. Dr. Nadeau loved to officiate and enjoyed teaching others how to officiate. He wrote special columns about it. A good official always hustles. He ' s on top of things, said Dr. Nadeau, who believed in giving your all in any en- deavor. He was a hustler. Dr. Nadeau died at the age of 64. He would have been 65 on Feb. 4 and would have retired at the end of the semester. All of us at Pembroke State feel blessed that we had the privilege of knowing Andy Nadeau. He was Mr. Enthusiasm, who could bring sunshine into any day. 98 A Friend Who Will Not Be Forgotten 99 1 M V B I mK F- K — • ■' ,„. 100 1 ' yV OV  i li 101 isifti? _  ■El m H 1 ■a C H vlfl :a H k B V pH V ' i HB M M- He I I ■Sv lKA n B l b9I H b lCfl iP L HB H Hfe L J - BB F v ' • m t , K wjl ili M r  .
