Only a few weeks before hand, they had been asked to be contestants by students in different campus organizations. After hours of competition, in the areas of Sportswear, Talent, and Evening Gown, the judges compared notes, and came to a decision. Miss Lynne Clark, sponsored by Pi Kappa Phi, was chosen Miss Congeniality, by the other con- testants. Third Runner-Up was Miss Deheava Drake, sponsored by the Black Student Organiza- tion. Second Runner-Up was Miss Linda Gail Locklear, sponsored by the Pi Kappa Alpha Little Sisters. First Runner-Up was Glenda Gail Locklear, sponsored by Kappa Delta. The crowd ' s tension mounted, as the Master of Ceremonies, Mike Ver- million prepared to announce Miss Pembroke State Universty 1975. The girl chosen to represent Pembroke State University in 1975 was Miss Teresa Oxendine, sponsored by the Student Gov- ernment Association. The School 29
