It President i M.e ag,e The members of the staff of the 1952 Indianhead have enjoyed the unique privilege of editing the yearbook for the year in which the college became of age. The members of the staff are the historians whose records of this significant year reflect the worthiness of the institution to which signal recognition has been paid by the Southern Association of Colleges when, in December, 1951, it formally admitted Pembroke State College to membership. Faithful and loyal effort has been put forth in order that this volume might present a true picture of the college in 1951-52. Long hours of tedious and painstaking work have gone into this volume. We commend such meritorious service to those who in the future may set forth to record the virtues of the college that will be built eventually on these foundations. Dr. Ralph D. Wellons
