The purpose of the Council is to have a voice in campus activities and see that they are carried out. The main job the council is doing this year is writing a constitution for the Stu- dent association so that the association may begin its work next year when a new council is selected. 28

DRAMATICS ALPHA PSI OMEGA AND DRAMATICS The purpose of the Iota Alpha Cast of Alpha Psi Omega Honoary Dramatic Fraternity, is to stimulate interest in dramatic activities in Pembroke College, to secure for the College all the advantages and mutual helpfulness provided by a large national honorary fraternity, and, by means of electing students to member- ship, to serve as a reward for their worthy effort in participating in the plays staged by the dramatic organization of the College. The motto Seek a Life Useful means that not only the members strive to be artists, but they endeavor to be worthy artists seeking the highest goal of any artist service. The Dramatic Club presents two three act plays and many one-act plays during the year. Some recent productions have been: The Hoosier School Master, Saint Elmo, and The Campbells are Coming. 30
