Three of last year's starting freshmen are playing varsity this year, which has left them extremely handicapped. Under the mentorship of captain Bill Biron and coach Kaligian they have ad- vanced noticably and the abundancy of freshmen predicts success in future years. 67 I

The female Spartans had an enviable record this year under the Co-captainship of Marie Jacob and Gloria Beauchesne and great coaching of Mrs. Tunnell. Their passing and defense this year was second to none. Their only wish was a twin sister to Rick Morrill who would have made everyone's assignment easier. Their hustle and determination still won them a majority of contests on their twelve game schedule. Seniors on the squad were Sandra Harris, Ginny Preve, Edythe Childs, and Anita Brisbois. 66
