DRAMATICS CLUB The Dramatics Club is a large group of individuals united for the purpose of creative exercise and self-expression. Members find op- portunities to express themselves through plays, assemblies, and prize-speaking. Suzanne Roy and Stephanie Krenn both reached the semi-finals of the State Dramatic Contest. Profits from the successful Senior Play went to the Senior class and the proceeds from the Spring Play went into the Dollars For Scholars Fund. LATIN CLUB ln:--1 llli ill' mas carols are sung in Latin. 54 The Pembroke Academy Latin Club, affiliated with the National and New Hampshire Junior Classical Leagues, is now in its third year Its main purpose is to encourage the Latin students to take an interest in and to better appreciate classical culture of ancient Greece and Rome. The initiation is really done in Roman style. Togas add au thenticity to it and the slave sale helps give everyone a taste of Ro man life. A trip to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts to see the Clas sical section of films based upon Roman life add variety and depth to the club's activities. ln December the Saturnalia, the Roman counter part of our Christmas, is celebrated.
