Its purpose is to promote interest in the classical languages. The club met the first and third Thursday of every month. Some of the main projects of the year were the Christmas Party and the presentation of the movie 'Quo Vadis. They also sponsored Latin Week during the week of April 20. The annual Latin banquet was held during this week. The girls of the club ran the coat check at the home basketball games to earn money. This year, as in other years, the band was very active. They marched at each home football game, sold popcorn at the basketball games and marched at Tulip Time. They also operated a concession stand at this time. Included in the highlights of the year were their two concerts. They pre- sented a very fine winter concert and an equally good spring concert.
