They will remember selling concessions at basketball and cold, cold football games to finance the Junior-Senior Banquet. Ah, it was a great day when those class rings finally arrived. During the past year, the juniors have been very active in sports, musical activities, and various organizations. Although this has been a wonderful year, they are looking forward to their senior year. vixff-P s119wx9Y'JJ-J1,- ibwaf J-may ,ww ffdclt Jwf JI cifffl dll filo'-U9 7Cv-Je LM Lpww FIRST ROW: Myra Verros, Connie Vander Meulen, Bonnie Verrips, Connie Schippers, Marilyn Walraven, Maxine Uitermarkt, Joan Nollen, Karen Van Wyk. As the babies of our high school, they were at first a bit frightened and lost in their new surroundings. After a few weeks, as some of the 'greenness' wore off, the Freshmen became participants in many of the school's activities. During the school year they had several successful parties. I Naturally, the Freshmen are looking forward to the time when they will no longer be at the bottom of the ladder. During the hot summer days the band marched in the parade at the New Sharon Rose Festival. Everyone enjoyed taking part in the Newton Centenniel and later eating some of that delicious barbecued food. At each home football and basketball game the band contributed its forms of enthusi- asm and support. A winter concert on February 3 and a spring pop concert in April were presented, giving the Pella people two evenings of enjoyable entertainment. Other activities included marching at Tulip Time, marching in the high school homecoming parade, small group contest, All-State band, and Monroe Festival. Perhaps the most exciting memory of all will be the plans for that summer trip to A gf!!-3 Chicago. The band hopes to board the Greyhound busses and pay another visit to the I, Chicagoland Music Festival. .7 ,jg pf y 1,5 Xi- ...4-,N T 'fi f'-V ' ,I AC- ,W If ck LQ, xi-,..4:. y -, fy ' R ZQ F 3.
