The team improved their record from 6-4 to 9-2 this year. Their goal at the beginning of the season was to make it to the dome in state playoffs. During the season they had a great deal of fun and developed more respect for their coaches. Disappointment came when they lost to Breckenridge in the section 8 playoff game. The 1987 football team has already earned the pride and respect of their fellow team- mates and community and will certainly be remem- bered as one of the best teams Pelican Rapids has seen in a long time.
