SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Treasurer: Amy McDaniels, S. Council Rep.: Linda Carlson, Pres.: Mark Davis, Secretary: Tracey Johnson, V. Pres.: Joeline Haugan. 66 CLASS HISTORY Thirteen years ago, 1980 was a dream away, and the Kindergarden class of 67 was a reality in which we faced the awesome social pressures of what to bring for show and tell, or who to sit by at milk brake. Today those same 6- year olds, now 18, look back at 1967 as a dream away and at the graduating class of 1980 as a reality. The pressures have changed somewhat (although we still worry about what to show and what to tell) but the people have had 12 years of laughter and tears, understanding, growing and love. As sophomores we began to exercise our right to make important decisions, such as what classes to take, who to go to dances with, what to do Friday night and how to pass a test on Monday without studying during the week- end. To lead us through the year we chose Julie Ottoson, pres., Amy McDaniels, vice pres., Tracey Johnson, sec., Kathy Haugen, treas., and Joeline Haugan, student council rep. Representing our class through a victorious Homecoming were attendants Lisa Kelting and Tracey Johnson, escorted by Jody Paulson and Joel Aakre. Our Junior year was a challenge. Bringing us through the year were Joeline Haugan, pres., Dave Schroeder, vice pres., Lynn Hauger, sec., Bruce Tweeton, treas., and Tracey Johnson, student council rep. Homecoming attendants and escorts were Tammy Jorgenson escorted by Todd Huseby and Amy McDaniels escorted by Peter Westby. Magazine sales skyrocketed to over $13,000. The funds resulting from our efforts were used to put our prom theme Nights are Forever into motion as we created our own image of the perfect dance. De- spite all the hassles . . . getting enough decoration committee passes, having enough green tissues or building the waterfall, we made it a memorable prom. All of a sudden we were seniors. United, we designed and built our last Homecoming float. During Homecoming ceremonies we crowned Lisa Kelting queen, attended by Amy McDaniels and Donna Pederson. They were escorted by Todd Huseby, Joel Aakre and Mark Davis. Jody Paulson escorted the queen of 1978. The mighty Vikings were victorious again as they defeated the Elbow Lake Eagles in the Homecoming game. As Seniors we elected Pres. Mark Davis, Vice Pres. Joeline Haugan, Treas. Amy McDaniels, Sec. Tracey Johnson and Student Council rep. Linda Carlson to lead us through out last year at PRHS. And here we are, taking our last look around the halls of PRHS and hold- ing onto all the warm memories . . . not wanting to let go, but at the same time realizing that when we do let go, it won't mean a separation, but a stron- ger bond between us . . . between our friends of yesterday, our friends of to- day, and our friends of tomorrow. Bonds through sharing the same smiles, crying the same tears, and dreaming the same dream. Friends Always, The Class of 1980 Senior Bests Shortest: Becky O., Amy M., Rod J., Steve R.
