Stenger Wrestlers— Full of Enthusiasm The 77-78 Viking wrestling team can best be described as “improved.” The varsity combined athletes from grades 7-12, mixing maturity and ex- perience with youth and enthusiasm to yield successful results. Highlights of the season were the first place fin- ish in the Little Valley Tournament and Robb Miller’s School Record for career wins. The gymnastic season began with 40 eager girls ready for action. There was a lot of anticipation for a great season and we weren’t disappointed. Although we are not State Champs, we have tried just as hard and have worked to the best of our abilities. During the last home meet, the sen- iors were presented with red roses. It was a special moment that all of us will remember. We hope that the younger gymnasts will stick with it as they have great potential. Maybe some year, THEY will be State Champions.
