Samuelson, P. Marty. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council has a long his- tory of service to the students of P.R. H.S., as long as that of the school it- self. Among other projects this year, it sponsored the popcorn stand, speak- ers for the new athletic field and the Homecoming Coronation ceremony. It capped its achievements by attend- ing the District Student Council, where it won the office of Secretary. Some- one from the Student Council next year will be elected to this job. Lead- ing our Council this year were the trio of Robi Jaeger, President; Lisa Kelt- ing, Vice-President; and Lynn Kelting, Secretary-Treasurer. AFS The American Field Service Club (AFS) provides social activities for our foreign exchange student. Among their activities were Pumpkin Carol- ing and party (including “pumpkin- ized Christmas carols), an Oriental din- ner, a bowling party, a potluck dinner, and an ice skating party. Leading the AFS were an Executive Committee consisting of Karen Carl- son, Robi Jaeger, Jodi Hailstorm, Nik- ki Sorum, Vanessa Lee, Yoshie Yam- auchi, Mary Solien, Carol Solien, and Ms. Siewert, adviser. LETTERMEN This Lettermen’s Club Coordinates high school sports and raises funds for athletics. This organization has sponsored a variety of activities this year—the Homecoming dance and buttons, the Donkey Basketball game, and the concession stand. In addition, they purchased the whirlpool and a por- table video tape machine. The 1977-78 Lettermen officers were David Robley, Pres- ident; Jim Knutson, Vice-President; Wade Johnson, Secretary- Treasurer; and Craig Samuelson, Student Council Representa- tive. ARA The Athletic Recreation Association’s (ARA) purpose is to provide recreational activities for PRHS students. Club sponsored events included rollerskating at Skateland in Far- go, swimming, a banquet for the members, and the annual Homecoming, Sweetheart and ARA dances. Officers were Robi Jaeger, President; Lynn Kelting, Vice- President; Tracey Johnson, Secretary; Jackie Young, Trea- surer; Carla Glenn, Student Council Representative; Karen Arntson, Recreation Leader; and Ms. Gohdes, Adviser.
