Angerson mgr The 1976 Viking football team celebrated this bicentennial year by being the first team to play on the new athletic field. This facility provided the stage for some of the most exciting football games to be seen in Pelican Rapids. The team, a highly responsive and enthusiastically dedicated group, dominated the Heart O'Lakes football scene of- fensively and finished the season as the leading defensive ball club. Although the Vikings finished with a second place conference standing, the accomplishments of this team will be long remembered by itis players, coaches, and fans. Another tribute to a job well done.
