SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In September, 1953, the doors of P.R.H.S. were opened to a very green freshman class. We underwent the traditional initiation. Our class officers were: President, Wally Carlson; Vice-President, Ed Poss; Secretary, Harley Dunham; and Student Council Representative, Jerry Orsund. In the fall of “54,” we returned as confident Sophomores. We chose Lee Barcenas, Kenny Nessa, Janet Champlin, and Roger Peterson to lead our class. Darlene Rollie represented us on the Student Council. We proudly presented Bonnie Haugrud, escorted by Roger Peterson and Nancy Johnson escorted by Jerry Orsund, as our Homecoming attendants. Our class decorated the auditorium for Graduation and served as ushers. Kenny Nessa, Lee Barcenas, Donna Larson, and Don Strom led us during our Junior year. Vern Isaacson was elected to the Student CounciL For Homecoming, Patty Peterson, Myrna Bakken, Larry Lange, and Don Strom were our attendants and escorts. Our Junior year was highlighted by our play “Don’t Take My Penny and Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom. Our theme was “Evening in Paris.” September, ”56,’ returned to P.R.H.S. for the last time as students. Kenny Nessa again led our .s President; with Roger Peterson, Vice-President; Janice Sorum, Secretary; Ar son. Treasurer; and Bonnie Haugrud, Student Council Repre- sentative Donna ’ , tur Homecoming Queen, was escorted to her throne by Kenny Nessa and Don ; Her Senior attendants were Patty Peterson, Myrna Bakken, Wally Carlson, anu Vern Isaacson. With Chicago as our goal, we organized a Trip Group, with Wally Carlson, Donna Larson, and Lee Barcenas as officers. Other mem- bers of the executive committee are Janet Champlin, Darlene Resset, Carol Jacobson, David Velo, and Don Strom. Mrs. Stadum, Mr. Haugen, and Mr. Magnuson have been our advisors the three years of Senior High SchooL Now as we look toward graduation night, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our advisors, the administration, faculty, our parents, and the entire community for the opportunities they have given us. The Class of ”57”
