The second team, ahly led hy Captain Betty Vey, met its foe at every turn and the air rang with cheers from the first team. That hall ended with a U-U score. Playing a vigorous second hall, the second team came out with a winning score of 2 to l. The goals were made by center forward. Margaret Collette, and left wing, Alice Gale. When the first team tool: its place in the field, the real contest was on. First Scarsdale made a goal: then Captain Pat Schryver made a heautiful goal and the hall ended with a l to l score. ln the second half, Scarsdale scored against us for the second time. The regular basketball club was so large that it met three times per week, on Tuesdays and Friday, with advanced basketball meeting on Thursday. The honor squad consisting ol' twenty girls was chosen and three captains elected. ln spite ol war-time transportation dilli- culties, two games with other schools were played: with Vvhite Plains on lVlarch 20, and Scarsdale on Nlarch 27. ln the first game, the score was in lavor ol the girls in blue and white. The first and second teams chalked up victories ol tl-0 and 22- It 5, respectively: however. the third team lost a hard lought game. The Scarsdale game was also exciting, but not quite so suc- cessful. This time the first and third teams lost, -10-44 and l-l-27. The second team upheld the honor of the school by winning .35-30. As usual, the girls played hard and well.
