In Echoing Harmony MELODY MAIDS— It is thought by many that the Melody Maids is one of the most famous high school entertaining groups of its kind in the state of Illinois. The girls ' director, Mr. Langley, started the Melody Maids fifteen years ago. Since then, thousands of songs have been memorized, 1,000 appearances have been made, and 50,000 miles have been traveled. To become a Melody Maid, a student must be a junior or senior girl with a sincere desire to sing, maintain a B or above average, and must give up all activities that would hinder her activities with the group. The girls meet Tuesdays and Thursdays and during activity periods. 29
