VARIETY SHOW Musical Fantasy. With Pekin l-ligh's own dance band setting the mood and music, two more evenings of laughter and applause were heard at PCHS at the l953 Variety Show. lntroducing the various numbers during the first performance were Sharron Wolfer and Louis Beres, Mistress and, Master of Ceremonies, and for the second perform- ance, Leta Gray and Ronald Andreoni. Various numbers were presented, rang- ing from the uniform dance steps of the Rockettes, to the beautiful strains of the Melody Maids, and the hilarious Boys' Club Eartho-vision Show. Providing the finale of the twenty-two act program were the combined voices of the A Cappella Choir, directed by Mr. Partridge, singing Lullaby of Broadway, The Showboat Medley, and the popular, l Believe. Last yecxr's royal couple, Amy Moss and Tom Lindquist, crown Margie Carl and Ioe Berardi as princess and prince. Decorating committee at work. Dancing the night away. 44 22 PP The Grand March RUSH-SOPH PART The annual Frosh-Soph Party was held in the Girls Gym on November 10. Lightheartea students danced to the gay strains of the PCHS Dance Hand amid the timely decorations portraying the theme, Football Time. The Bunny Hop seemed to oe enjoyed hy all, although some were complaining of aches and pains afterwards' During the course of the evening, a welcome sight to the weary dancers was the Dragons' Den where they could sit and talk over the pleasant evening while enjoying a cool coke. Ioe Berarcli and Margie Carl Were prince and princess of the gala celebration. After being crowned by last years royal couple, Tom Lindquist and Amy Moss, they- together with the rest of the Royal court, Merrilee Oberle, Bonnie Ling, lane Ricketts, Nancy Dancey, Larry Fabry, Denny Sullivan, Bob Kennedy, and Ray Barnesf led the grand march. Another highlight of the evening was a floor show of musical and comedy numbers. At the hour of 10:30, the gay festivities came to an end and volunteers rolled up their sleeves for operation clean-up.
