Senior Class It's memory time {or us seniors because as the '53 PEKINIAN rolls off the presses, our four years at Pekin High draw to a close. Many events have come and passed since that memorable first day when we became citizens of PCHS. Our first big social function was the Frosh-Soph party given in our honor, which we in turn sponsored the next year. Our Junior year was climaxed with the Junior-Senior Prom. The hours we spent planning and decorating were rewarded when we beheld The Show-boat docked at Pekin High's harbor. This, our last year, began socially with the Homecoming Parade and celebration. To raise money for our class gift, we sponsored the play George Washington Slept Here, and the Spring Dance. Many other events occurred during our Senior year . . . outstanding lyceum programs, the Sadie Hawkins Dance and the Sock Hop, and presentation of honorary awards to our deserving class members. Soon the fading strains of Pomp and Circumstance will be just a memory, and we'll have our diplomas, our hopes, and our dreams. Good-bye, Pekin High; it's been wonderful! Senior Class Officers Rich Lee, President Betty Rockhold, Vice-President Jim Chambers, Secretary Marian Friedrich, Treasurer
