Sunshine Societv The Sunshine Society of Pekin High School was organized in 1936 and has been one of our most active clubs. Most members attended the district convention which was held at Crawfordsville. Our projects this year, as always, were giving baskets to the needy at Thanksgiving and at Christmas giving favors to the patients of the Washington County Hospital, and also making donations to the Riley Fund. The girls gave a tea in the spring in honor of their mothers and Ideal Ladies. Our aim and purpose is to spread sunshine and cheer to all those around us, thus helping make our school and community a happier place in which to live. It can be said that the Sunshine Society is built upon its creed.
