DEDICATION The Senior class of 1956 has dedicated their yearbook, The Commentator, to a person, who in their opinion is very de- serving of this honor, Dr. W. L. Green. SUPERINTENDENT HERSCHEL C. BAKER, B.A., M.A. Mathematics , School Adminis - tration, Indiana University. School is agreat and unique com- munity whe re students live ,work and play. There is laughter, tears, loneliness, triumph and defeat. All of which blend together to mould character. Acharacter of greatness or dishonor according to the adjust- ments that are made to the many problems and experiences which we encounter daily at school and at home. Yes, students blend into groups, formal and informal, congenial and indifferent, uninteresting and pro- fitable. An exchange takes place, a reciprocal give and take, always striving for that ultimate goal, the diploma. In this great endeavor we seek knowledge and happiness. Our in- terests are challenged. WE COME FOR THAT DIPLOMA, BUT GET MUCH MORE. PRINCIPAL WILLIAM O. MARTIN, B.A. M.S. While to you this may seem to be quite a peak of attainment, it is merely the beginning of greater tasks thatface you. The way youmeetthese tasks will be dependent on the efforts put forth and the attitudes developed during the four years just past. May youlook forward with confidence and proceedwithfirm steps to the meet- ing of the tasks before you.
