Martha Morris is entertaining two other housewives in a gab fest over the back fence. lt is Betty Curtis and Mary Lou Bishop. At least those were their names in High S-chool. Oh! oh! there goes the phone! Even after years of married life, Martha still gets ex- cited when he phones her. There is quite a party going on down there. It seems to be all married couples. There are Lizzie and Don Johnson, Nellie and Johnny James, Virginia and Bob Hogan, Doris and Laurel Purlee, Romilda an-d Bob Abner, and Donna and Sonny Green. Now look over there in the corner, still fussin', feudin', and fightin' are Carol and Bob Mosier and Polly and More McKinley. Won- der if they've been doing such all these years! What's this? My, Pekin H'gh has changed. Just look inside. No wonder! Bob Hein is now Superintendent, and Alice Col- glazier has taken Mrs. Baker's place as Home Economics teacher, since Mr. and Mrs. Baker have retired to their home in Florida. Now, just look .in the Principal's office, there is Wilma Geffs, the new principal, with Virgie Smith, the School Secretary. Mr. Martin has a huge farm outside of Pekin, and has quit teaching. Who is that Alice is talking to? He looks familiar. It is Robert Reiche. He is now a salesman for Marilyn Th.ixton's Nutricious Foods Co. lt seems that the company's head foods expert, Lois Jeffs, has discovered a better way to make chili. Mr. Kennedy is a very happy coach just 1.ow. After ten years, Pekin finally won the tourney. Miss Mull and Mr. Purcell have now gone into business for themselves. Miss Mull is now married and has a typewriter repair shop. Mr. Purcell has a wood,-working shop. Mrs. Hilton has just returned home from a trip to Italy. At last, she has seen what she has talked about for years. There is a poster on a 'fence with a pic- ture of one of our teachers, Mr. Hudkins. He has quit teach.ing, and it now seems that he is a rising star in the Held of dancing. Since the pupils in Borden are so well behaved, Mr. Axe andi Mr. Oldridge are now teaching' there. It is getting foggy again. I can't see anyth.ing. Now, it is beginning to clear once more. We are back in the school house. Maybe we never did leave. Who kmrws? Donna Green
